CUP at Chief!

CUP at Chief!

Last month, CUP's Executive Director Christine Gaspar and Christa Orth of fundraising studio Wingo NYC co-hosted an event on nonprofit boards at Chief, a women's leadership network they are members of. They wanted to help Chief members connect to boards, while leveraging this high powered network to help fellow nonprofit leaders find dynamic board members.

Christa and Christine moderated a panel with two amazing board members, Lauren Samuels of The Hope Program and Mary Anne Guediguian of Figure Skating in Harlem. Over 100 Chief members, who are executives in fields like finance, media, and technology, learned about how to find a board and be a good board member. And 30 non profit leaders, including CUP collaborators like Elizabeth Clay Roy of Take Root Justice and Helen Ho of the Biking Public Project, made pitches for their own boards.

During the cocktail hour that followed, several organizations found new board prospects. The event was so popular that we've been asked to do it again! Stay tuned!
